Local person and teacher Chris Friday knows the importance of education, particularly for marginalized people who can experience barriers to opportunities.

She established the Chris Friday – Neighbourhood Houses Fund at the Inner North Community Foundation to reflect her desire to see her money be useful for neighborhood houses that create benefits for so many.

Some of the types of activity that the Fund will be consider for support include activities that:

• Increase opportunities for vulnerable young people and children to access education;
• Respond to issues of social justice identified by local communities supported by the neighborhood house;
• Make the delivery of material aid and food relief more just and dignified.

Chris welcomes contributions from other donors into the Fund to help sustain the important local work of neighbourhood houses, either as a once off donation or as a gift-in-will.
